How did Ted Lasso go from being an unlikeable, obnoxious “wanker” to the endearing character we all now love? In this inaugural outing of THE RICHMOND WAY, the trio of Bonnie Marie Williams, Michael Sawran, and Marc Vibbert head back to the origins of the character in an Amsterdam comedy club that culminated in the NBC Sports shorts from nearly a decade ago.

They examine how Ted evolved from his depiction across these shorts to what we’d eventually get in the Apple TV+ series, and what jokes made the jump from shorts to the long-form series.
